Centralized Monitoring for Gas Plant OEM
The Challenge
A leading Indian manufacturer of oxygen and nitrogen generation systems for hospitals, bottling plants, and process industries had no centralised visibility into the operating status of machines deployed across customer sites. Alarms went unnoticed in noisy or unattended environments. Service engineers were dispatched reactively after breakdowns — with no data to diagnose the fault before arriving on site.
The Solution
YuDash built a Central Monitoring System (CMS) using the LYNX gateway connected to the gas plant's PLC via Modbus RS485/TCP-IP, capturing 20–30 key operating registers. Data is pushed to the YuFourIA cloud platform, where the OEM's service team monitors a global map of all deployed machines, receives instant email/SMS alerts on fault conditions, and can remotely reconfigure PLC parameters — eliminating unnecessary site visits. A SaaS pricing model means no infrastructure investment for the OEM.
How It Works
Data flow from field to cloud
Gas Plant PLC
20–30 Modbus registers — pressures, temps, alarms
YuDash LYNX
Modbus RS485/TCP-IP, 4G/LTE, bidirectional MQTT
4G/LTE
Periodic push + remote config commands
YuFourIA CMS
Global map, alarm tracking, remote PLC config
Results
- Real-time alarm visibility across all customer sites from a single dashboard
- Remote PLC reconfiguration — service engineers fix issues without travel
- Shift from reactive to preventive maintenance for deployed assets
- SaaS model: zero infrastructure ownership for the OEM
